I’ve joined Wipro as the Head of Talent Acquisition for India, and I feel fortunate to be associated with our ex-chairman Mr Azim H Premji’s value-driven corporate. At Wipro, my goals are to be the TA function who offers the best candidate experience and practice Employee Referral as a culture and not just a metric. I deeply believe in the Spirit of Wipro, which has guided me at my workplace and even in my personal ethos.
Among many legendary personalities with whom I would like to imbibe traits, Mr Premji has influenced me the most. Being a successful businessman, visionary leader and a big heart Philanthropist, he crafts an inspiring story of the Indian IT industry. An old proverb of “Simple living and high thinking” is the easiest way to explain his ways.
If I wasn’t a professional in the IT industry, I’m sure, I’d be a sportsperson, to be more specific, a badminton player. In my opinion, Sports is a way of life. It not just keeps us fit and healthy but gives us confidence and brings discipline to our routine.
During this work-from-home arrangement, I have tried my hands at many things, especially at household chores. Soon after I realised that cooking isn’t my cup of tea and I might spoil my family’s taste buds, I took up the responsibilities like cleaning utensils and mopping (a force majeure declared by my wife). Well, the thing that works out great for me is my small balcony garden. From tomatoes to muskmelons to orchid, I’ve successfully grown fruits, veggies and flowers. It is truly a wonderful sight.
I love travelling and exploring new places. Before COVID, I have covered almost all the known and known places in the southern part of India. I hope the situation gets normal and safe soon, and we will resume back to.
I believe in working smart and achieving my dreams beyond the challenges. My mother, who has inspired me the most, helped me to explore the drive to do better. The ambition to reach greater heights and excel in everything has inspired me to achieve my career goals.
Social work and the welfare of communities are close to my heart. If I wasn’t an IT professional, I’d have run an NGO for the upliftment of women and children. At present, I have been associated with Women in Technology. It is an organisation that works to get “Women from Classroom to the Boardroom”. I also contribute to projects to provide education to kids who cannot afford extra coaching.
I must confess that the work-from-home situation has made me busier with little free time to pursue my interests. I’m waiting for the current situation to get better soon so that I can resume back to travelling and exploring new places, trying new cuisines and meeting new people.
The new normal has taught me to multitask and manage situations both at work and home simultaneously. The best thing that has happened due to this is that I get time to meditate and explore my inner self.

In my personal life. I’m obsessed with minimalism, given a chance, I’m always up for organizing clutter and chaos. My family and friends know that I can fix a chaotic space like no other person. If I wasn’t in my current profession, I surely would have been Marie Kondo sparking joy.
