Job Description

Job Title: Software Asset Management Engineer

Location - Bangalore Chennai

Exp - 5 - 7 years

Rates including mark up - 120 K/M- 130 K/M

Proposed Grade: Band B3 (2 Positions required)

Primary Skill: Software Asset Management, Application Discovery, and Analysis

Secondary Skills: Application discovery and Analysis and App Packaging

Educational Qualifications: Relevant degree in Computer Science or related field

Experience:

  • Proven experience in software asset management, application discovery, and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of application packaging and related technologies.

  • Responsibilities:

  • Perform software asset management tasks, including application discovery and analysis.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and management of software assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software asset management and application packaging.
  • Maintain documentation and provide training to end-users as needed.

Application Discovery, Analysis, Assessment and reporting

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a detailed Application discovery, Analyze, Evaluate.
  • List down and sort by usage of applications.
  • Report the observations.
  • Collaborate with SCB team in the process of optimizing.
  • Utilize relevant tools wherever possible to automate the discovery process
  •

  • Thorough knowledge on the relevant Tools, Its utilization and benefits
  • Focus on identifying how applications interact with each other and with the underlying infrastructure
  • Conduct interviews with stakeholders and surveys to gather insights that automated tools might miss
  • Perform manual audits to verify the accuracy of the automated discovery and to add context
  • Document dependencies between applications and infrastructure to minimize risks during changes or migrations
  • Analyze performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement
  • Create a summary report highlighting key findings, risks, and recommendations
  • Present the findings to stakeholders, ensuring they understand the implications and proposed actions
