We are looking for a skilled Lead Administrator to join our team in Detroit, MI. As a Lead Administrator, you will be responsible for managing VMware & Windows L2\L3 operations. Your role will involve responding to and resolving incidents, performing installations, configurations, testing, troubleshooting, and coordinating with third parties for hardware replacements and upgrades. Additionally, you will be involved in patch management, root cause analysis, application installs and upgrades, and ensuring adherence to company standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in VMware 6.7, 7.0, 8.0
- Strong knowledge of VMware, Cisco UCS, Virtualization, and Windows Server Administration
- Experience with WSUS, SCCM, and Hyper-V
- Knowledge of MSCS Clustering, Microsoft KMS, and backup solutions
- Understanding of Storage and SAN switches
- Monitoring tools experience is a plus
- Microsoft Windows certification is an advantage

Responsibilities in Architecture Planning, Migration & Installation
- Lead architecture planning, migration & installation for new projects
- Design platforms, middleware, databases, and backups ensuring scalability
- Conduct capacity planning and review system requirements
- Implement disaster recovery and backup plans
- Manage day-to-day tower operations, troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analysis, and plan upgrades/maintenance
- Review technical performance, improve efficiency, deploy SOPs and provide status reports
- Develop Service Improvement Plans through automation for higher efficiency

- Forecast talent requirements and hire resources
- Train direct reports for recruitment decisions
- Talent Management:
- Ensure compliance to onboarding and training standards
- Build talent pool and promote diversity in leadership

Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $60,000 to $1,35,000 .
