Role Description

Operating System Fundamentals:
Basic understanding of operating system concepts (file systems, processes, networking).
Familiarity with Linux command-line interface (CLI) for basic navigation, file manipulation, and system information retrieval.
Exposure to ChromeOS architecture and its components (e.g., kernel, browser, Android container).
Testing Fundamentals:
Understanding of software testing concepts (test cases, test plans, bug reporting).
Ability to execute test cases and follow testing procedures.
Knowledge of different testing types (functional, regression, integration, usability).
Experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., Buganizer, Jira).
Hardware and Peripheral Knowledge:
Basic understanding of computer hardware components (CPU, RAM, storage).
Familiarity with common peripherals (keyboards, mice, printers, external displays).
Ability to test hardware compatibility and functionality.
Browser and Web Technologies:
Basic understanding of web browsers and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Ability to test web application functionality within the Chrome browser.
Familiarity with browser developer tools for debugging.
Android Fundamentals (Relevant for ARC++ testing):
Basic understanding of the Android operating system and its applications.
Ability to install and test Android apps on ChromeOS.
Knowledge of basic android debugging using adb commands is a plus.

Ability to clearly communicate test results and bug reports.
Ability to collaborate effectively with developers and other team members.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to identify and troubleshoot software and hardware issues.
Ability to analyze test results and identify root causes of failures.
Detail-oriented and thorough in testing.
Adaptability and Learning Agility:
Ability to learn new technologies and processes quickly.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s  Degree

Expected annual pay for this role ranges from 56,000 to $76,000. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
